If you have difficulties adding a resource or would like a one-on-one virtual session with a librarian, please contact the library at asklibrary@tstc.edu, book a virtual session, or reach out to your local librarian.

  1. Click the plus sign to add content.
  2. Choose External Tool
  3. Choose Canvas and TSTC LibApps Integration - Single.
  4. Select the options appropriate for your guide.
    1. Content type:
    • Full Guide: Students will have access to the entire guide.
    • Single Page: Will link to only one page of a guide. A good option to focus students on only one page. e.g. The MLA page of the citation guide.
    • Content Box: Embeds a single box. Great for access to specific resources or guides. e.g. the Research tutorials box from the tutorial's page.
    • All A-Z Databases: A list of all databases available to TSTC students.
    • Databases for Specific Subject + Subject Specialists: List of databases pre-selected by program. Includes contact information for librarians best familiar with the program's needs.
    • Databases for Specific Subject (list only): List of databases pre-selected by program. .
    • Specific A-Z Database: Links to a single, specific database.
    • New/Trial Databases: Links to all new and trial databases.
    2. Choose the guide/resource you want to embed or pull from.
    3. This option will vary based on your selection in number one.
    4. Click Embed Content.

  5. Click Add Item.
  6. Make sure to publish the item.
