Accessing the Concept Map Grid
-
Begin by entering your search terms in the ONEsearch search box and clicking the Magnifying Glass button.
-
Click the Concept Map link on the result list screen.
Note: Because Concept Map opens in a new browser window or tab, you may need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to open Concept Map.
-
Select the context in which you would like that topic to display in the Concept Map. Or if there is an exact match for your search term, the Concept Map visual will display immediately without needing to select a context.
-
The Grid view of Concept Map is displayed by default.
-
Use the Group by drop-down menu, you can select to group your topics by Relationships or by Domains.
The Domains option enables you to display topics by Discipline. For example, if searching for a term related to the medical field, grouping by Domains would enable you to filter topics by Health And Medicine.
-
Click a topic to view more details. Click the Add to search button, to add it to the Search Builder.
-
Click the Explore Concept button to display it as the main concept in the Grid and view all subjects related to the new research focus.
When you are finished adding topics to the Builder, click the See Full Results button to execute a search for your terms on ONEsearch.
Note: You can click the Boolean operator in the Search Builder to change it. For example, click AND to change it to OR.
-
When you use the Explore concept feature in the Grid or Interactive map, the topic is added to your browse history.
Note: Browse history is available in the left column which can be opened by clicking the gear icon in the upper left of the screen.
-
Your results are displayed on ONEsearch and your search terms populate the search box.
