Q. How do I find Scholarly Sources with EBSCO databases?

Dozens of the library's databases are on the EBSCOhost platform, and all of them use the same interface.

To Access EBSCO Databases

  1. Go to library's A-Z Database page at https://tstc.libguides.com/az.php.
  2. Click on the "All Vendors / Providers" drop down menu.
  3. Click on EBSCO.
  4. This will take you to a page that lists and describes all the EBSCO databases. 

To Select Scholarly Sources

Before You Search

  1. After you log into the EBSCO database, click Advanced Search.
    Click on "Advanced Search" below search box
  2. Scroll down to the "Limit your results" section.  
  3. Click the tick box next to "Peer Reviewed".
  4. Type your search terms into the top box.
  5. Click Search.EBSCO advanced search page

From the Search Results Page

  1. On the left hand side of the screen, click on the tick box next to "Peer Reviewed".
